Pool Table Recovering
New cloth on the bed and rails, and the slate seen properly.
Cloth fails at the break spot, along the top rail under resting hands, and at the pocket mouths. When one lets go the rest is usually close behind, so doing the whole table beats doing it twice.
It is also the only visit where the slate is uncovered, which makes it the right moment to correct a slab that has shifted underneath the table rather than pack around it, and to look at seams, bolts and rubber properly.
Choosing the cloth
The one visit that can put a moved slab right properly.
- Old cloth comes off bed and rails, and the slate is read with nothing covering it.
- A table the season has pushed out of true gets corrected here rather than packed around.
- Woollen carries a nap and runs slower, which forgives a room where the standard varies.
- Worsted is smooth and fast, the league and hall surface. Balls carry further than most expect.
- Rubber can go on at the same visit, and should if the cushions return dead.
A table living in a garage rides a far wider temperature range than one indoors, and the rubber gives out well before the cloth does. Send the size and whether you want pace or control.
What finished looks like
We here at Oklahoma City Pool Table Movers guarantee all of our work. If you use our services and feel that we did something incorrectly, or that your table is becoming unlevel, we will come back out to fix the issue. This is good for six months after your service is completed.
Our normal appointment times are at 8 or 9 am and 1 or 2 pm. If we need to carry the table up stairs there is an additional cost of $100, on an installation and on a home to home move alike. We will not move one piece slate tables up or down stairs.
